I am kinda coming around to quite liking panerai and their unique style. But they are huge and hefty watches, they only really look good on a suitably big wrist. As a 6.5 inch wrister . If you want a Luminor, consider trying some Bettarini case models (000, 005, 111, etc), which wear closer to the wrist than the 1950 case models.

My wife, for example, is right-handed but prefers to wear a watch on her right wrist so the crown faces her arm and doesn’t dig into her wrist. The Panerai Luminor is a big, beefy watch with a massive crown protection system. When I wear a regular 44mm Luminor on my 6.5-inch wrist, it’s pretty uncomfortable. If I may suggest going into the store and try on the 40mm vs. 44mm. The difference is HUGE! 44mm fit great on my 6.5 inch wrist and 40mm just look a little off for me vs my wrist proportion.
