That being said I prefer the black. I think it is more elegant and understated than the blue which screams summertime and look at me watch. Blue is great as a second watch for the right occasions, but the black is a great all year around watch.
I have a blue-dial DJ and think I’d rather get a black dial over a second blue one, even though I think the Bluesy is one of the best-looking models Rolex makes. And I think the black/gold sub will pair better with everything than blue. Am I a fool for considering to sell/trade the submariner? I know the main rule here is Never Sell Your Submariner. With three black/darker dials I thought maybe trade sub around and pony up $$ for a white or blue or dial dj41/Daytona/ maybe oysterflex something.
