I have no doubt in my mind that dexron vi and mercon lv are basically the same fluid. They have nearly identical specs. Use any dexron vi in any mercon lv and vice versa without losing a minute of sleep. From what I hear the mercon lv loses it's color faster and darkens quickly.

Since the new serial Pam 372s come with sapphire crystals instead of plexi, I was curious if the prior 372s could be retrofitted. Went to the Panerai website and chatted online with them regarding this. I’m looking at purchasing a second Panerai and have decided on the PAM720. My only disappointment is that it comes with plexiglass and not sapphire crystal.
